Product tour
One submission, start to finish. Then behind the counter.
A short click-through of the underwriting workbench: a broker's email becomes a rated, bound, bordereau-ready policy, with an assistant that drafts and proposes and a ledger that records every decision. Then the product, the rater and the binder it all ran on.

Read the tour as textThe thirteen steps, the same words as the stage, with each screen.
Step 1 of 13 · A submission, start to finish
Monday morning
The dashboard opens on what needs attention: two submissions past their SLA, one due today, and every binder inside its warning threshold. Nothing to hunt for. Open the queue.
Click Open the queue
Step 2 of 13 · A submission, start to finish
A broker's email, already read
Harbour Freight Services came in by email from Harbourline. Cuttleflow has read the proposal, captured 3 of 20 answers, marked 4 as missing and written a summary. Nothing blocks a price yet. Open the submission.
Click Open SUB-698906
Step 3 of 13 · A submission, start to finish
What is known, what is missing
Every answer with where it came from and whether it is confirmed. The gaps are marked MISSING, not buried. Cuttle offers to draft the request for them.
Click Draft the info request
Step 4 of 13 · A submission, start to finish
The request is drafted, not sent
Drafted from the gaps, with the information needed to provide terms first. It never sends itself: you review, edit and send. The draft and the model that wrote it are logged.
Click Copy the email
Step 5 of 13 · A submission, start to finish
The broker replies
Paste the broker's reply. Cuttle finds the change, quotes the sentence it came from and proposes it - limit of indemnity 2,000,000 to 5,000,000. Applying it is an ordinary, audited amend.
Click Apply to draft
Step 6 of 13 · A submission, start to finish
Rate, decide, quote
Rating is deterministic: engine v2, every factor on screen, the premium recomputed live as the levers move. All binder rules pass and it is within your authority, so it auto-accepts. Anything beyond authority routes to referral.
Click Lock and issue the quote
Step 7 of 13 · A submission, start to finish
Bound
The policy is an immutable contract record. Endorsements adjust current terms on top of it; the original never changes. Everything that happened along the way is on the activity ledger.
Click Open Activity
Step 8 of 13 · A submission, start to finish
The ledger
Hash-chained and append-only. Each AI draft is logged with the model that produced it; each human amend sits beside it. Nothing is edited, nothing is deleted. Export it when the managing agent asks.
Click Export the ledger
Step 9 of 13 · A submission, start to finish
The bordereau builds itself
Every bound policy and endorsement, under the binder it was bound under, mapped to the Lloyd's DA SATS columns. Gross, net, GST, stamp duty. Export at month end.
Click Export CSV
Step 10 of 13 · Behind the counter
Eight products on the shelf
Each product is a versioned package. The catalogue shows the active version, what is coming into effect and any draft, with the question count, covers, endorsements, templates and bordereau columns on the card. Open Cyber.
Click Open Cyber
Step 11 of 13 · Behind the counter
Seven components, one version
Questions, rating pipeline, coverage structure, rules, endorsement library, document templates and bordereau mapping - co-versioned. Any change makes a new version, which passes the validation gate and a named sign-off before it goes live. Open the rating pipeline.
Click Open the rating pipeline
Step 12 of 13 · Behind the counter
How the rate is built
Change any answer and re-rate. Each step shows its factor, the delta and the running total, then the decision - ACCEPT, REFER or DECLINE - with its reason. Same inputs, same premium, every time.
Click Re-rate
Step 13 of 13 · Behind the counter
Binder control
Every delegated authority you write under: the carrier panel and each syndicate's share, the products and territories in scope, the authority caps and the premium income limit by year of account. Enforced at quote and bind; headroom updates as business is written.

On screen Cuttleflow. Underwriting, run as a platform.
This is Cuttleflow, an underwriting platform for underwriting agencies and coverholders. One workbench for products, submissions, quotes, policies and bordereaux.
The Cuttleflow wordmark on a dark card, then the underwriter's dashboard: awaiting me, unassigned, breached and due today, the needs-attention list and the capacity panel.
On screen Every product is a versioned package. Validate, approve, deploy.
Every product is a versioned package: the questions, the rating, the covers, the rules, the wordings, the documents and the bordereau mapping. Easy to make changes, with built-in versioning. Admin users can validate, approve and deploy new versions. Eight financial-lines products are on the shelf today.
The product catalogue: Comprehensive Crime, Cyber, Directors and Officers, Investment Managers Indemnity, Management Liability and the rest, each card with its active version and effective date.
On screen Submissions read themselves. What is there, what is missing.
When a broker emails a submission, it lands straight in the queue. Cuttleflow reads the proposal form, opens the submission, fills in what it can and lists what's missing. The information request is drafted for you. Review it and send it.
The queue with Harbour Freight Services open: the broker, the insured's details with the gaps marked missing, and the Cuttle panel's draft info-request control.
On screen Deterministic rating. Auto-accept or refer. Authority built in.
Quoting is deterministic. A submission can be rated and accepted automatically, or referred for review when a rule or an authority limit says so. Binder limits and capacity are visible in real time.
The finalise-quote screen for Harbour Freight Services: the rating factors, the levers, the premium recomputed live, and the banner within authority, all binder rules pass.
On screen AI proposes. People decide. Everything is on the ledger.
Cuttle, the assistant, reads, drafts and proposes. Every decision, human or machine, is written to an audit ledger that can't be edited, and flows straight into the bordereau.
The Assist tab: the broker's email read, the proposed change to the limit of indemnity with Apply to draft, and the sanctions screen and at-a-glance panel alongside.
On screen Binder control. Panel, scope, caps, capacity. Enforced at quote and bind.
Binder control holds every delegated authority you write under: the carrier panel and each syndicate's share, the products and territories in scope, the authority caps, and the premium income limit by year of account. Binders stack, more than one can be in force, each scoped to its own products, and every quote is checked against the binder it will bind under, with capacity headroom updated as business is written.
Binder control for Cuttleflow MGA AU ML 2026/27: the premium income limit and headroom, the carrier panel with each syndicate's share, and the per-risk authority caps.
On screen cuttleflow.com · Book a demo

About the data. The insureds, brokers and people in the tour and the recording are fixtures, not clients: Harbour Freight Services, Harbourline, Coastal Property Advisory, Priya Nandan of Tallowwood Risk Partners and the rest are invented. The carrier names on the panel, Meridian Syndicate Management 9901 and Tallowwood Underwriting 9902, are placeholders and indicate no commercial relationship. No client data appears anywhere. Product structures, rating logic and binder controls are the platform’s own; the premiums are illustrative.
